Dear Friends, I gather that you know that in March I was wounded (broke a vertebra in my neck), but now I am recovering and am back at work. Our friend Josef Herz, formerly the President of V.F.I. has stepped down after three years of excellent service. During his time in office, the annual number of Sar-El volunteers increased remarkably. Josef Herz was replaced by Vade Bolton, to whom we extend our best wishes for success. A few months ago, the Association of Friends of Sar-El was established with the aim of helping to finance Sar-El, and upgrade the living conditions of the volunteers in Beit Oded and the other bases. The President of the Association is Edourd Cukieriman, a businessman in Israel and a Sar-El board member. He formerly served in the Sar-El program as a madrich (when we still had reservists serving as madrichim). The Association was started under his initiative and knowing this, I am sure he will succeed in achieving he Association's goals. For further information please contact Efrat Raz at:
