Dear Friends,
I would like to take this opportunity to update you regarding our program. Six hundred volunteers have joined Sar-El during the first three months of 2008. However, this is close to 10% fewer volunteers as compared to last year. I know that one of the reasons is the increase in the price of airline tickets, but I hope that this will not stop you from coming to the program. April's forecast is very encouraging and we hope that our numbers will continue to increase throughout the summer.
I am very proud of the fact that several months ago we were approached with a request for volunteers for a special project in a new location for Sar-El. We met this challenge and due to the hard work carried out by those volunteers taking part in this project, albeit under tough field conditions, we helped to considerably strengthen Israel's southern border.
Spring is already here, "Pessach" is approaching and we are all looking forward to a busy summer. On behalf of Davidi and I, as well as all of the Sar-El staff, we wish you and your families a "kosher" Passover and our very best for the holiday.
We love you all,
Israel Geva Executive General Manager
