Andy Eggert shares his Sar-El experience:

The time from January, 12th till today was one of the most beautiful and
happiest, that I ever experienced. Here in Israel, I learned some Hebrew, met
many unbelievable interesting people from all over the world , found friends
among them and among the people here, established contacts - and did real
meaningful and important work!

I was stationed at Tel haShomer, Matzrap. where medical goods for the whole
country are packed and send. The commander told us, that Matzrap is the only
base in Israel for IDF's supply of medical goods., and, that we volunteers
are 40% of the workforce (and, of course, do at least 60% of the work!).

I'm filled with pride and satisfaction, to be able to do my own little
contribution for the land and the people this way. We all were welcomed with open
arms and open hearts. Many of the young recruits were really moved, when they
realized our presence. Just now, it is so important, to show, how many
faithful friends Israel has all over the world - despite and because of the
many headlines in today's newspapers!

I've always been an active friend of Israel, but in future I'll raise my
voice more distinctively. With my next time with sar el I want to take further
people with me in this wonderful and unbelievable land!

Again, I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity, to serve my
country Israel.  Every week, every day here was a honour to me.
