My Sar-El Experience Really Moved Me
I must tell you the whole (Sar-El) experience really moved me. I don't do drugs but I felt high all the way. Maybe it was because we had a first class group but I met so many other volunteers from other programs that were terrific also. I of course had some pivotal times.
One was on a Sunday at the airport meeting up with our group to be. A man from Belarus came over to me and we sort of had a conversation. I think at that moment I realized how great it was that this tiny country could attract all these wonderful people from all over the globe. I must admit I feel comfortable with the Jewish connection.
All the folks who handled us were exceptional. I mean these are little girls. Did they feel like we were their parents or did we think of them as our kids?
I loved all of them. Personally I feel the bonding process works very quickly through the work. A well oiled working machine makes for some really good friends.
I am having a difficult time re-adjusting.
Thank you so much for all your efforts,
Itzik, formerly known as Steve Colman | |
