Working on the conveyor belt

Sarel was fantastic this year – the group was AMAZING – the atmosphere was electric.

I was working on the conveyor belt packing kit-bags for the new recruits and commandos, together with about a dozen other volunteers. The work was quite heavy but we did work really hard and enjoyed every minute of it. I even packed a kit-bag which had my name Michele written on it in Hebrew (I have a photo to prove it!).

The accommodation was...(in) bunk beds... (no ladders of course – this is the army), but the girls and the humour made up for it. All in all a great experience.

I think the mix of English and Americans in this case worked very well indeed. I have always (apart from once) been with Americans and I must say I do like it.
