I had another outstanding experience with the Sar-El program.  Our base in the north provided me with a totally different experience than last year’s base in the Negev.  The soldiers were great and working with them was once again rewarding and fulfilling. 

Our madricha, Anna, was amazing and I believe this sentiment was shared by all of the volunteers. Anna was always well-organized, well-prepared and every day came with a positive attitude. In those situations that tested her mettle, she rose to the occasion and when any of the volunteers “got out of line” she handled them in a smooth yet firm manner. 

It was great to once again meet and interact with the soldiers and provide them with assistance and to let them know that the United States is their friend and ally and that we support Israel. I feel fulfilled and enriched by my experience in doing volunteer work for IDF and I look forward to doing it again next summer.
