SPECIAL DOCTORS VOLUNTEER PROGRAM |
Sar-El is launching a special program for doctors.
Details follow below:
1. The volunteers must all be English speakers. They can come from the USA, Canada, England, Australia & France. The maximum age is 65.
2. This is a one month program, with 1 week of training and 3 weeks of actual work.
3. The volunteers must be licensed doctors in the specialities of orthopedic, skin or neurology. We will need to see and approve copies of the medical licenses, credentials and other related papers, as well as a recommendation/reference letter from the facility where they are working or have worked. We also would like to see a CV or resume from the volunteer. The standard application procedure will also apply, including an interview, medical form & insurance.
4. There will be a maximum of 10 volunteers in each group.
5. The living/working conditions are: ---they will work on bases where there are living accommodations; or ---they will work in clinics on bases where there are no living accommodations in which case they can stay at Beit Oded (Sar-El hostel in Tel Aviv/Jaffa) or they can make their own arrangements with family or hotels.
6. The volunteer doctors will assist the doctors on the bases; the volunteers will not serve as the primary doctors.
7. The volunteers must apply for this program at least 2 months in advance so we have time to approve the credentials and make the appropriate arrangements with the bases.
If volunteers have any questions, please contact me. Thank you --we anticipate much success in this new program.
